The Sony HVO-4000MT is a professional medical video recorder designed to capture, record, store, and manage high-resolution 4K and 3D video from surgical imaging systems such as endoscopes, laparoscopes, and surgical microscopes.

High-Resolution Recording

4K recording: Supports up to 3840 × 2160 resolution with Sony’s XAVC S codec (H.264/AVC) for excellent image clarity.

True 4K & UHD: Can handle both DCI 4K (4096 × 2160) and UHD (3840 × 2160) inputs.

3D support: Captures 3D video via Line-by-Line and Top-and-Bottom formats, recorded in top-and-bottom 3D format.

Simultaneous recording: Creates both 4K and Full HD (FHD) files internally for easy review and sharing.

Recording Media & Storage

Internal 4 TB HDD: Long duration recording even in 4K (up to ~119 hours depending on quality setting).

External media: Supports recording simultaneously to USB drives, Blu-ray/DVD, or network servers (CIFS).

Connectivity & Control

Inputs: 4 × 3G-SDI (4K compatible), HD 3G-SDI, audio inputs.

Outputs: 3G-SDI, HDMI, audio, network (RJ-45), USB 3.0/2.0, RS-232C control, remote switch.

Remote & touch support: IR remote, optional USB touch panel, keyboard/RS-232 control available.
